To all you awesome folks reading this post,
Here is an update from Atlanta to Durban…
Upon leaving Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in ATL we began the long travel journey spending 17 hours on a plane that got us to Johannesburg, South Africa. Somewhere along the lines of group communication I missed something very important… that our connecting flight to Swaziland wasn't until 23 hours later and that we would have to spend the night in the Jo'burg Airport. After the flight to Swaziland the World Race squad leaders met us and drove us to the Manzini hostile. The next morning we woke up early to make the road trip to Durban, South Africa.
Yesterday we got to our host home and I must say that we are blessed beyond belief. We are staying just miles from the Indian Ocean in the beautiful hills of the Durban suburbs. The surrounds, the city, the burbs, and the scenery actually remind me of Southern California so you know that I'm happy here! Please pray a special blessing over Sushila, our host, and for everything she is doing to feed us and open her home to Team Unveiled Pursuit.
For the next couple days we will be adjusting ourselves to the native culture and the people here the metro Durban area and preparing our hearts for our specific ministry this month; hosting an outdoor camping experience (Higher Ground) working with special needs kids for the next three weeks in the mountain range an hour inland from the coastal Durban area. Please pray that the Lord prepares our team for what He is going to do through us as we serve and minister to these special needs children which will officially begin on Monday!
I've been taking pictures and journaling daily and cannot wait to share some of this with you all in one of my future blog posts. If you feel led to do so, please pass on the link to my blog to any prayer warriors you know and lift up our specific requests along with anything else you feel led to pray. Thank you for being a part of this experience with us!
