Tanzania your country is beautiful!
Morogoro your town is so much fun!
Gairo your village is so warm and welcoming!
Within these last 3 weeks traveling from city to town to a village I have experienced so much of Tanzania!
Week 1: We arrived in Dar Es Salaam the main city! My first impression was overwhelmed as we got off the bus with people swarming around us trying to carry our stuff or sell us something or just noticing that we were mzungu's ( white people haha). The roads were sort of crazy….but I was taking it all i and it was great! We stayed a 2 nights there and I got to bond with my great team of 10!!
Week 2: We then travelled to Morogoro and stayed with the pastor there!!!
Our days were filled with
-leading church services ( singing worship songs, performing dramas, sharing testimonies and preaching).
– Doing street evangelism and sharing!
– visited an aids hospital
Week 3: In GAIRO!! Here we stayed with pastor Cha Cha and his loving family!
Our days were filled with
– working at the orphanage that held 250 kids
– teaching english in schools
– Attending Crusades in the evening (singing, dancing, testimonies and gospel preaching!)
– visited COMPASSION international and sang and played with the kids!
My favourite part of the trip so far was in Gairo! The children were just so precious! They were so friendly! they loved being in pictures and were fascinated by cameras! they loved holding our hands and sitting on our laps and giving us hi – fives! THey followed us around everywhere and loved to sing with us!! They just brought so much joy to my heart!!
Also I love church here in Tanzania! its so lively and passionate! They are passionate in thier prayers and worship! Thier voices are amazing! And thier faith is incredible!
God has revealed so many things to me! I have overcome challenges and doubts and grown so much in my Amazing team that is on fire for JESUS! One more week to go !
