"He must increase, but I must decrease," is my jam verse for the following month while I am in South Africa. This verse is such a great reminder that everything we do, we make Christ the center of our lives. It is not about us, it is all about Him. I just love this verse. I pray that I will continue to let Christ be the center of my life even when I feel as if I can't do it anymore or I just get annoyed at times. I know that He will always be there to help me get through it. I know I couldn't do it alone. That is for sure. Thank you, Lord for loving me.
Well, while we are in South Africa my team is doing children's ministry. It was a great first week. The children there are definitely precious children of God. Marine Primary School in Oceanview is where we go every morning. We begin there at 8:30 in the morning Monday through Friday. It is tiring, but worth it. When we first arrive we do a devotion. After that we go into the town and call out for children to come to the program. We go to Mountainview, which is a slum-like community and then we go to Oceanview (there is no view of the ocean) which is the nicer community. I love doing this, because I love to see all the children getting excited to come to this program. They are absolutely adorable. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful opportunity like this. God is so good. Once we get back with all the children we get in a big circle and do exercises with them. That is always fun. What a good way to start the day. After that is done the kids split up in to groups by their age. They go to different stations. Those are: bible story, memory verse and sports. The program is so great and very organized. I appreciate everything the staff does. I am so honored to be serving along some great brothers and sisters. They truly are all amazing. God is working in the kids lives, by the end of the week 34 children were wanting to know more about Him and accept Him into their lives. I truly hope it is meaningful. I pray God works in their lives.
