God Speaks

I got to Atlanta today around three o'clock and met my team in the airport!  And I finally met Kendra, the girl who I am paired with! She's wonderful!    Okay, being in Atlanta has been NOTHING that I expected it to be. I totally expected our training time to be all informational, talking about culture shock and whatnot. Nope. Not at all.  God has already blown me out of the water, and I'm not even in Africa yet!    "When God speaks, Life happens."  How does God speak to you? Is it through a dream or a...

It begins!

Hello!  Yesterday we met our teams and began out training. It's amazing what God is already doing before we've even left! We did a session last night as part of our training on listening prayer and it was awesome the way He was speaking truth, encouragement, affirmation, and prophetic words into our lives and spirits through our brothers and sisters we just met! I also found out that my partner and I will be spending the month in Cape Town serving with Volunteer Mzansi. Our specific ministry is still to be determined!  We fly out tonight into Johannesburg where...

Listening…

During our one day of training down here in Atlanta, we took time to get to know each other from our team in Rwanda and also a team that is heading on down to South Africa at the same time with us.  It was definitely a bit awkward talking with strangers from around the country, but we all had the common ground of taking a step of faith in going overseas to serve His kingdom. There was this activity that we had to do during our training session where we were told to close our eyes and listen to what God was telling us about a person in the group that we were assigned to.  I tried...

“students on holiday”

Hey yhall. I have only been with adventures in missions for one day but I am having an amazing time and am excited for what God is going to do this month. My teams flight to Johannesburg leaves tonight around 7. After about a fifteen hour flight we will be in South Africa. We may spend the night in the airport until our flight to Manzini Swaziland on Tuesday. Sometime after we land in Swaziland we will split up and my team will be traveling into Cape Town. Cape Town is known to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. While in Cape Town we will work with volunteer Mzansi, which...
