Safe arrival in Tanzania

All our participants have arrived safely in Tanzania! Here's a portion of an update received from the World Race Squad Leaders.  They met up with the participants in Turkey and completed the last leg of the journey to Tanzania together… "We have arrived safely in Tanzania!!! Praying Like Paul

Today is the day, we take off on a two day trip to Tanzania, Africa. It has been such an experience so far meeting people from all over America and Canada and acknowledging a bond that has been built so long ago, and that is the love for Christ. I am so excited to be getting to spend my month with two of the ladies I have met here at training. Preparing to leave for Tanzania!

Last night I arrived in Atlanta to meet the group that I will be traveling to Tanzania with to join the people I will be working with.  There are eight of us here and we have been meeting for training and orientation to find out how to be best be prepared for the coming month. So far I have found out what where I will be in the country, but no specifics about what I will be doing there.   After arriving in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, I will take a short bus trip to a town east of my arrival called Morogoro. The first official day of training was great!! The airplane ride to Atlanta was a bit rough due to turbalance and my suitcase being to heavy! Lol I also had to get patted down!! Last night we spent time listening to God and praying for one another. I loved it. I slept great last night and now I’m preparing to fly tonight for 15 hours! Whoa!! So excited!! I will be in Mybeia Tanzania! Time to go hard!! Pray for safe travels!! Love my team! We will all be separate into different parts in Tanzania but we continue to pray for one another!! the adventure begins

it has been an amazing weekend! i have met alot of cool people and i know it is just the start. inwas abl e tonfly into atlanta with candance and grace from my team so we had the chance to get to know eachother. they both are amazing girls. we met the rest of the team in the atlanta airport, zach, josh, morgan, mandi, and abigial and also chris and holly who are prepareing us for the trip they have been on the world race and have so many storys and so much love and encouragagement to give! we were all alittle sad to find out that we will have to split up and be putnon different teams for...

The Beginning of an Adventure

Today we are leaving for Tanzania! Yesterday I found out my team assignment and the ministry in which I’ll be working with this month. I will be a member of team Heart Refinery. The ministry We will be working with is called Eden Church in Sumbawanga, Tanzania. Sumbawanga is in western Tanzania. We will be doing ministry in hospitals, schools, prisons, and English classes. We will also be doing some landscaping and construction.
