I arrived in Atlanta not fully knowing what to expect. It's been my dream to go overseas and serve people in different nations, but I didn't really think about my team and getting to work with others out there on the mission field. Once I got to the airport to meet my team, I was a little nervous, but everyone is so awesome and welcoming, and truly love each other in the way Christians should. We all came from different parts of the country, from different denominations and backgrounds, but we're all connected in one way: through Christ. When it comes down to it, He is truly all that matters. This trip isn't going to be just serving God out on the mission field, but learning how to do it with others, and being the part of the body of Christ that God has made us to be. I wasn't expecting that, but it's an awesome surprise!
Today, we're getting ready to hop back on a plane to leave for Africa! I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do, not only in the Rwandan's lives, but mine and my teams hearts and lives as well.
Now, Africa bound!
