Ministry is a Lifestyle.

Within joining up with the World Race, I have learned that ministry is a lifestyle. It’s not just now when I am in Rwanda it is lifelong. It’s every second of every day. It’s your attitude to be willing to do whatever God throws in your lap. It is a part of your thought process. It is your heart towards others. Others can refer to the locals, your community, your family, your friends; it’s anyone you encounter. Ministry is being able to go outside your comfort zone and being willing to do something you have never done before. This can range from your living situations to sharing God’s word to a whole church. Ministry is such a gift of obedience to God. This is only the beginning my ministry doesn’t end here. It is only beginning.
We are working with the Christian Fellowship Church in Kigali, Rwanda. We are so blessed to have Pastor Innocent and his wife welcome us. They want us to feel at home, and I do because of their hospitality.
This is Africa. Things might not always be exactly on time or go specifically to the plan. But you have to be fluid (something we learned about in training), usually people would say to be flexible but eventually being flexible can come to a breaking point. But being fluid is going with the flow and going whatever way the Lord pushes you. The culture here reflects that thought, they are very laid back and it is refreshing to be emerged in their culture. Africa is beautiful! God has made Africa beautiful! There is beauty in the sunrise, in the local’s welcoming smiles and voices.

Pray for the nation of Rwanda and for the church we are working for.
