Meet my team! 😀

This blog is to introduce you to my team that I am spending the whole month with!

This is Sharel.

She is a powerful woman of God from Texas. She is on the World Race Exposure trip with me, so we are here for only a month. She is an RA at her university, and she has been to Africa before. One thing that amazes me about Sharel is her generous spirit. She gave me a pair of shorts just because I needed some for that day. She randomly says she loves everybody, and she is full of powerful and insightful words for any conversation. I love her dearly, and I am learning so much from her on this trip. Love you Sharel!

I think I’ll talk about our leader Bethany next.

She is the leader of Team Arise, which is the team of 5 girls Sharel and I are working with. Bethany is a great leader, and I can’t say that enough! She always has a smile on her face, and she is definitely easy to relate to. She has a passion for travelling the world, and the souls she comes in contact with. She exercises everyday, which is totally inspiring! Keep doing what you’re doing girl! We love you!

Next is Helena.

Oh Helena. Oh Helena. Haha. Everyone should follow this woman on twitter. Her name is @heyheyhelena and she is hilarious!!! She is Brazilian, which means she speaks fluent Portuguese. I love it! She always has encouraging words and scriptures for anybody, and I have been greatly affected in that way. Thank you so much Helena for bringing what you have to the table and inspiring me to go farther in my faith! Love you!

Well Hey Bethany aka Bieber!

This woman has the same birthday as me.
She was raised Church of God.
Her parents were missionaries.
And she has an awesome laugh.
You always know it’s her when she laughs because it’s like no one else’s. She is also our “Feedback Queen,” meaning she is great at encouraging people through compliments and constructive criticism concerning our ministry(which I Love!) I have also had the opportunity to sing with this woman. Oh, did I mention she’s musically talented? She is. I love being able to harmonize with her voice, and I love being able to just minister alongside her, because she is truly great at it in every aspect. Love you Biebs!

And then there’s Erica.

I love this girl! She is from San Diego, California, and she rides her bicycle more than her car when she is home. So cool! She is so cheerful and always lights up the room. She is also very wise. She has a dream of building a Jesus coffee shop, which I think will be totally powerful! Erica, thank you for being so friendly and relatable. Thank you for asking me questions about music, which I am honored to answer. I love you!

Dura.

What can I say about Dura? She is a fire-breathing daughter of the King, with a tremendous calling on her life to preach to the nations. She is very interested to get to know you, no matter who you are, and she is a crazy-powerful witness. She amazes me in so many ways.
I see a lot of myself in her, and we have grown pretty close over these few weeks, and I know exactly why. Being around Dura challenges you to reach farther for God’s heart and pushes you to be all that God has called you to be. I hope/know we will be friends for life. I love you Dura!

All of these women are amazing. That’s really all I can say. God certainly knew what He was doing when he put me in ministry with six other girls! God is so humorous, because anybody who knows me knows that I am not girly at all! But I have found that I am more like these women than any of my guy friends back home. I am going to miss all of them when I go back home, but we will surely be in contact for a long long time. I love you guys! Thanks for being my friends!
