Arrived in Rwanda!

We finally arrived in Rwanda very very early in the morning on July 5th! Pastor Innocent and his wife, our host family are the best hosts we could haveasked for. They are both loving and kind, as well as being awesome people of God! We ended up with a house all to ourselves, with a western toilet and the ability to take showers as often as we want. We have a woman from the church named Mary serving us pretty much constantly, making our meals, washing our laundry, cleaning up after us and tons of little stuff I'm sure we don't see. Shes extremely humble and slefless in the way she does these things also, always thanking us when we should be thanking her. She is such a beautiful woman, definitely showing off qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman.

Ministry really isn't what i expected it to be at all. I'm really not sure what I was expecting, but I was not expecting working with a local church in Kigali. i guess I was more hoping to serve a local hospital or orphanage, just showing love on the sick and the lonely. But I have a feeling that God has something to show me through this type of ministry, which I'm excited to see!
Yesterday, my team and I got up early and went to help with a nursery and school that the church has during the day. When we met the children, (there were about 20 of them) they all came running towards us and hugged us. I had never had so many children, or people in general, get so excited to see me. We played games with them and sang some children songs. Then when it was time for them to go home, we had children holding our hands walking back to our house with us until they got to where they had to turn off to go home.

Our team is in charge of all church services now, which happen to be everyday for about two hours, except Saturday and Sunday when they are about 8 hours long. we had our first service, which turned out to be a success! We did some worship and had one of the people on our team speak.
I ended up leaving early because I was sick, and I have been ever since. I stayed back at the house all day today to rest and hopefully get better, which i have.

Can't wait to see what allGodhas planned over the next few weeks!

P. S. Please be praying for my team for health, as well as a spirit of strength, endurance and a willingless to serve the Lord over this month!
