A few days in Uganda

Landed in Uganda, Africa! Finally made it! Not our last stop, but getting close!

On our way we had two delayed flights. One for an hour the second for 2 hours. One the first plane we got struck by lightning, but Thank God nothing happened except fr some turbulence and a minor freak out. The second one being our last flight was from Ethiopia to Uganda. Some Lady decided to yell and stop the plane and as she ran up to the front the plane stopped during taxi. As she went on we tried to understand what was going on that would  make her stop the plane. Long story short she ended up getting off the plane. As soon as we were about to take off finally they realized that their windshield whippers were broken and it was raining. Then we needed fuel. So maybe because of this lady stopping the plane she saved us from some serious trouble even though it was a little frustrated to those who were wanting to get home and it was already 11pm at night.

So we fianally landed in Uganda and met up with Leslie and Christina who took a different route through Paris and Kenya and we met our Squad leaders.

More problems started to happen, but we were going to let it bring us down.
There was some confussion with the visa, but we finally got in.

I think I am started to understand the fluid thing and again TIA (This is Africa)

We headed to bag claim. I got my bag with out my towel (which is fine not a big deal) Realized I left my sisters waterbottle I borrowed on the plane 🙁 but that is nothing compared to half our team (6) loosing their luggage in transit. These guys were learning the hard way to be fluid. Luckily for the girls I had some extra clothes I was willing to share! What is mine in the Lords and what is the Lords belongs to everyone.

Even though there was some minor set backs I know it is all apart of God's great good plan. I know God is testing each of our faith and trust in Him in different ways.

White hanging out at the airport waiting for the 6 missing luggage to fill out paper work we found out we were staying the night in Uganda! Actually a few days! Wow, best surprise!

Leaving for Rwanda on the 4th of July! Yes we sang our hearts out to all our American proud songs while we waiting for the bus and on the way to Rwanda.

You know your on the World Race (for us its just some exposure) when…

Your driving on the oppossite side of the road with a vehicle over packed with racers.

Your luggage gets lost in transit and your teammates share clothes like they don't even belong to them.

You don't sleep because of jet lag…
not knowing what day it is…
what time it is…
Random church service is going on from midnight to sunrise.
Roosters…
and the excitement to be in another country.

You wear the same clothes without showering for long periods of time and its normal.

You run out of deorderant and dont' care to buy a new one for lack of space in your bag. (have to make room where you can) – Josh

You might just get dreads, sometimes not by choice.

As a girl you wish you can grow a beard so that you can fit in with the guys who haven't shaved since they were in the states before the race.

You in enjoy the African sunrise with the birds chirping and the children laughing.

We little African children run and hug you or they run from you.

So blessed to be here!
Thank you all for praying for me again! Praying that i selfishlessly live and selfishlessly serve.
Also pray that I do not get home sick. I am really missnig my parents which usually isn't a problem when in another country, but for some reason I miss them a lot this time.

Love you Mom and Dad! Hope to talk to you soon!
